In 2009, the Garfield Pool was closed after decades since it was constructed during the late 1920’s. Thanks to the efforts of the local government and with the help of professional pool builders, this facility is now opened again. The government allotted a large budget for the renovation of this public pool to make it safer and more enjoyable for families who would want to enjoy cool waters under the heat of the sun. They have even borrowed money payable in several years for this renovation. The head of the Parks and Recreation in the city of Topeka has pledged to complete the renovation in time, which was also fulfilled.

The Garfield aquatic center now showcases different amenities and great shower rooms. Such amenities include mushroom fountains, slides and many others. The aquatic center now has increased the entrance rates for adults and children as well.

Grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremonies will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday — the same day all city pools open — for the new Garfield Family Aquatic Center at Garfield Park, 1600 N.E. Quincy.

Tours of the facility will be offered following Saturday’s ribbon cutting. The center will open for business at 1 p.m. Saturday.

As one would decide to have a swimming pool inside or outside his home, he would have several ideas and questions in mind for the expert pool builders that he is planning to contact. He may be overwhelmed by all the possible questions that he would ask to the pool builders, but he can organize this one. As pool builders are able to work with your structural limitations such as your piping or the size of your lawn area, this concern has to be raised first. The dimensions and the designs are also the basic concerns of a person who wants to have a swimming pool in his area. A particular concern would also be the users, whether this is for single use or for a big family. A spa is also recommended for areas that experience really cold weather during some periods of the year.

When installing a new pool on to your property (or renovating a pre-existing one), you want to make sure you have all of your bases covered. Before calling pool builders, consider these elemental questions and how they relate to your property’s logistics and aesthetic:

What structural limitations are you facing?

Consider the size of the space your pool will be in. Also check to see what kind of piping may currently occupy the space. Learn the size, location, and purpose of any pipes before digging.

Any person or family would want to have a swimming pool right in their backyard. This will add to the beauty of his home as well as add more value to it. Aside from that, they would not have to go far just to take a dip in cool waters. However, it is very important that you look for a pool builder which does not only provide high quality work, but is also a trusted and stable one. Many people who contracted to have a swimming pool in their homes became angry when a pool building company suddenly declared bankruptcy despite all the on-going projects that they are contracted to make. The company said it was because of the economic problems that they faced as well as the growing number of competitors. However, this cannot be a reason for a company that has been around for decades. Victims are now planning to take legal action against the company.

On April 21, Pelican Pools started construction on Monda’s pool, with a commitment to have it completed in 60 days, Monda said.

“The first week was fine, I made the payments and they started digging,” Monda said. “Then on the week of May 1 no one showed up.”

Ongoing work includes the work of storm water along highway agency to collect runoff of water from the parking lot and the front of the roof of the building of the pool. They also work very well in the landing area before the pool’s complex.

According to Steve Coll, flooring is another great project, which should begin in the near future, that the workers are already prepping for. He also said that all of the materials for pool fencing had been ordered and the important portions of the pool during its opening day will be established. Features of the pool are found on the site and the slide is partially established.

The borough was having some issues getting contractor Vincent Pools in Plumsteadville to devote adequate manpower to the job, borough Manager Michael Coll said at council’s recent session.

The borough has met with Wade Associates, the consulting firm hired to work with the borough on renovating its pool facilities, to express its concerns.
